In collaboration with Pima County, AWASA  administers allocated funding to provide low cost spay and neuter to pet owners in Pima County.  We wish to thank the Pima County Board of Supervisors for their ongoing commitment to reduce companion animal overpopulation through aggressive spay and neuter programs.

Ward 6 Council Member Steve Kozachik Assists AWASA

In November 2013 and 2014, AWASA received additional funding from Council Member Steve Kozachik's excess campaign funds for spay and neuter.  The Koz Fund certificates were used in the month of December 2014.

Arizona Companion Animal Pet Friendly Spay/Neuter License Plate

Annually AWASA submits an application for spay and neuter funds to the Arizona Companion Animal Pet Friendly Spay and Neuter License Plate Committee.  This funding is a great asset and increases the number of companion animals we can spay and neuter each year.

You can support these efforts by purchasing the animal friendly license plate. Thank you to those in the community who have done so and to the Pet Plate Grant Board for their support. For more information about purchasing a plate or other grant recipients, go to http://www.azpetplates.org/.

Due to the enormous demand for spay and neuter our provider is booking 4 months in advance. At this time we are suspending services to catch up on the applications we have and evaluate any remaining monies. Those who have applied will be reviewed and certificates with appropriate copay will be issued if qualified. 8/1/24
